I think the writing style is good. But that ends any good feeling about the book.
If I could give this book a minus star I would. However, what is this book?
Fiction? Non-fiction? Thriller? Serial killer? Hard to say.
I thought this book might be a good historical fiction. However, I didn't like this at all.
If I want to read a mystery or a serial killer book then that's what I will buy. This book isn't it.
This is a book that is supposedly based on the life of Thomas Edison. Maybe it is or isn't.
There was nothing in the research that suggested it was really true; or at least it didn't convince me of such.
It was one GRUESOME murder after another. Not worth finishing it! No purpose to it seem to me.
The reader doesn't seem to get a relief from all the horror and it was just thrown at you. I just didn't like this at all!

Inventing Madness edition by J Schwartz Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Great read! Although the story is presented as a fictional first-person account of the accomplishments of Thomas Edison, the presence of dark and curious facts interspersed throughout the book certainly makes you wonder! I was totally absorbed, from beginning to end!
This book is terrifying.
It is a real page turner.
Fabulous story.
Highly recomend it.
Totally unexpected portrayal as an arch villain of Thomas Edison. Blew me away! Couldn't put it down.
Just when you think you know a man, think again! Thomas Edison's secrets revealed will shock you, surprise you and take you into the mind of a brilliantly mad genius who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. This book is cleverly written. It hooks you from the beginning and leaves you wanting more!
The great inventor Thomas A. Edison grants interviews for his biography. Although this is a novel it seams very realistic. One could almost believe it is true. Surprising preparations and disturbing facets of the Edison family are revealed. It was a quick read for me. Well written. I hope to see more stories like this.
Told with tension and emotion, the author weaves Edison's 1st person delivery of his early life and his quest for control not only of ideas and inventions that would prove extremely successful and profitable, but of the people who he "needed" to control that is at once horrific and riveting. So real, one can't help but believe there's more than a modicum of truth.
clever title. does a good job of blurring lines between fact and supposition, making the story plausible, and ultimately suggesting that any famous, respected protaganist remembered by history might have a hidden, twisted, dark side unknown to contemporaries. Why such an egotistic person might want to share those secrets with future generations and besmirch that reputation is a mystery, and somewhat undermines the premise of the story. However, perhaps this ultimately could reflect the clueless, narcissistic persona of the main character. Provocative, but certainly not an uplifting, affirming read.
