Winnie Brentley has always hated her older brother's best friend, Lord Kent. Hated his casual attitude, his sarcastic remarks, the way he teases her mercilessly. She hates everything about him, especially how much she is attracted to the handsome young lord.
Now it's Christmas time at the Brentley's and in between decorating the tree and sleigh rides, Winnie is going through the motions of finding a husband when the man she both wants and can't stand is right next to her.

Some parts of this book I tremendously enjoyed and other parts seemed to drag. The whole plot of the book is based on family relationships, husband hunting and romance, which I enjoy reading about, but probably won't be favored by someone looking for action/adventure/mystery.Lord Kent is a TD&H hero who is best friends with the heroine's brother. The H/h have known each other since childhood and as teenagers found they had feelings for each other but Winnie is only 15 and Kent is 19 so they are really too young for it to go anywhere. Kent ends up pushing Winnie away by picking on her and being rude to her. It almost seems to become a habit and when they are both older, he convinces himself that he's not worthy of her so he continues to fight his attraction for her by pushing her away. They both think the other one hates him/ her.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more of them actually getting along and creating a sigh-worthy ending. From the three books I've read by this author, her writing mostly clicks with me as it is optimistic and well-paced. I probably won't re-read this book, but I'll definitely read more by this author in the future.

A Touch Of Mistletoe Mrs Brentley Girls Book 3 edition by Lindsay Kiernan Romance eBooks Reviews
Enjoyed the Christmas theme and the overall story line. Would have liked a little more interaction between the two main characters.
A Touch of Mistletoe is Winnie's story portraying the capture of her true love. Though the couple has their ups and downs, love knows these two are destined to be together... Very lovely novel. I wanted to curl up by the fire and read it until it was done. Great book Lindsay!
I have really enjoyed all Lindsay Kiernan's books. I fins she tells a fun story that pulls you in and makes you want more! Ill be sad if this is the last of this series as it has been so enjoyable!
Story tugged at heart strings..although the fight between the 2 lead actors was a trifle too much...also it was not very convincing portrayal of the hero as a rake..except some mentions...
I was looking forward to reading about Winnie and Kent's love match. The only reason I read the second book was to make sure I didn't miss a detail about their conflicts. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the ending. It was almost like the author had Winnie just give up. Also there were a few character flaws that had been built up in the previous two books about Winner. My main issues however is 1. The woman with the letters really has no purpose in the book. There is no real conflict between the characters and she has no ending or future beginning. I would have written her out. 2.There is no real transition between Winnie being mad at Kent and married to him a year later. It almost needed 2-3 more chapters to conclude the story. Overall I'm giving it 3 stars. It is still a decent read especially if you read the first two and know the story line. It would not stand on its own.
This was like reading about a couple of 10 year old kids. She hates that she loves him -- he fantasies about her. Blah. The story is basically their love/hate relationship.
She is just a kid the first time he kisses her, and frankly I think the hero of this story was old enough to know better than to behave in that manner with her. She is basically a child and he is French kissing her? I found that disgusting.
Maybe this was meant for a younger reader? I didn't find it romantic at all.
I don't recommend this story. There was no depth to the characters.
We find our heroine, a unique woman, strong and seeking her individuality in the confines of strict 19th century mores English society. Hence the plot of love spurned, and slowly awakening that the Hero and Heroine have never stopped loving each other. How they come together makes this a satisfying happy ending. This is why we love these novels; because all’s well that ends well. A good job by the author for creating good believable characters and letting us in to their world for a while.
